Meet Alphonse

My name is Alphonse Cardi, and I'm proud to call Ward 3 home. I was born and raised right here in Cranston, and this community has shaped who I am.

I believe in hard work, common sense, and putting people first.

My family's story in Cranston began in 1909, when my ancestors immigrated from Itri, Italy, in search of a better life. Three generations later, our family is still here, still working hard, and still committed to giving back to the city that has given us so much.

One of my greatest inspirations has been my grandfather, who was a doctor with his medical office right here in Ward 3. He dedicated his life to caring for the people in our community, and growing up, I saw firsthand what it meant to serve others with compassion, integrity, and commitment. His example inspired me to find my own way to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.

I grew up attending Stadium Elementary School, Bain Middle School, and later graduated from Cranston High School West. Like so many families in our city, I learned the value of hard work, respect, and community from an early age.

Today, I work as a welder by trade, a profession that has taught me the importance of discipline, honesty, craftsmanship, and solving problems. I know what it means to earn a living through hard work, and I understand the challenges that working families face every day.

I'm running to represent Ward 3 because this isn't just where I live, it's where my roots are. I want to help make our neighborhoods safer, improve our parks and public spaces, support our local businesses, and ensure our city continues to be a place where families can thrive for generations to come.

Ward 3 has given so much to my family. Now, I want to give back by serving the community that has always been home. I hope to earn your trust, your support, and the opportunity to continue my family's tradition of serving the people of Cranston.
